“Recent Advances in Pure & Applied Chemistry”

August 15 – 18, 2016 Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia

* A satellite Symposium of 24 IUPAC International Conference on Chemistry Education (ICCE) 2016

Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM) Sarawak Branch is celebrating its 30th Anniversary in 2016. As part of the 30th Anniversary Celebrations, we are organising an International Symposium on Pure and Applied Chemistry (ISPAC). This Symposium aims to discuss the latest advances made in various areas in pure and applied chemistry. It also hopes to encourage more young graduates to take up research and careers in chemistry.

The theme of ISPAC 2016 is “Recent Advances in Pure & Applied Chemistry”. ISPAC 2016 will comprise the following thematic sessions:

  • Organic Synthesis
  • Reactivity of Organic Compounds
  • Mechanistic Studies
  • Physical Organic Chemistry
  • Bio-organic Chemistry
  • Fluorine Chemistry
  • Coordination Chemistry
  • Inorganic Chemistry
  • Polymer Chemistry

ISPAC is being organised by IKM Sarawak Branch together with the Foundation of Interaction of Science and Technology (FIST), Japan as a satellite symposium of the 24th IUPAC International Conference on Chemistry Education (ICCE) 2016. Supported by the Asian Chem Corporation (ACC), ASPAC 2016 is being held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. Its main objective is to discuss and review the latest advances made in pure and applied chemistry.

Scientists, researchers and graduate students in various areas of chemistry are invited to present their research findings at ISPAC 2016. Please submit your abstract by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Please refer to ISPAC 2016 website: for registration and other matters. The closing date for the submission of abstracts is June 30, 2016.
